New installer available: RebornOS-2020.09.01-x86_64.iso

How can you create an md5 hash for a string on a mac using bash? Md5sum does not exist in my environment. I did a man for md5 but I'm confused about what that really does. Md5 'string' does not return a hash. Md5deep is similar to the md5sum program found in the GNU Coreutils package, but has the following additional features: Recursive operation - md5deep is able to recursive examine an entire directory tree. That is, compute the MD5 for every file in a directory and for every file in every subdirectory.

ATTENTION: Due to the change from xapps to xapp in Arch Linux, the installer had to be recompiled.

IMPORTANT NOTE: During the installer version changes, its availability on our server 2 will be delayed a bit.

NOTE: The installer uses the new cosmic file format implemented by RebornOS. It is important to note that the rest of the installers will no longer be operational once the old cosmic files are removed from our repositories (NOTE: The old comsic files have been removed from our repository on July 1st, 2020), so it is recommended to download this one.

The cosmic files of RebornOS are the tool that allows the installer to know what to use and, in addition, once in the final systems, allows the user to count on the improvements that RebornOS adds from now on, since they are in charge of maintaining the system updated with the last added modifications.

If you have RebornOS already installed and you want to use these new files, you can read how to proceed in the following document in our Wiki.

If you wish to continue without the changes, your system will continue to work, but you will not get the improvements and changes that RebornOS implements.

GNOME installation is done without dash to panel, to avoid problems when changing the desktop version. By default, the following extensions will be activated: Kstatusnotifieritem/appindicator support (system tray), pamac updates indicator, removable drive menu, Screenshot window sizer, and User themes.

LXQt now uses lightdm to access the desktop.

earlyoom is enabled by default on all desktops.

The Gufw firewall (Uncomplicated Firewall) is installed on all desktops, but disabled by default.

There is a bug in 5.7.x (5.7.4) i915 driver that causes freeze on boot with some intel integrated gpus (a1398 is affected).

If you only use the Arch Linux and RebornOS repositories (and do not use anything from AUR), you can disable this option.
